After entering the password, your employee approves the sign-in in the Duo Mobile app on the phone. We roll out Duo for Windows sign-in and Remote Desktop (RDP), on office computers and company servers, and for VPN as an option.

Duo asks for confirmation at the door to your company
Duo works with the employee’s phone and, as an option, with a YubiKey that types a one-time code. We roll it out wherever someone signs in to a computer or connects to the office.

Windows sign-in
After entering the password for an office computer or a company server, your employee approves the sign-in in the phone app.
Remote Desktop (RDP)
A connection to a computer or server in the office needs confirmation in Duo, so a password alone is not enough.
VPN – option
When someone connects to the company network from outside the office, Duo can ask for confirmation. This is a separate configuration, so we agree on it after the audit.
Business VPNYubiKey – option
Employees who do not use a phone for work can confirm sign-in with a YubiKey that types a one-time code. We add the key in Duo as an option.

Remote work
From home to the office only with confirmation
Remote Desktop (RDP) opens the way to the computer and files in the office. Duo adds a confirmation on the employee’s phone to the password, so an outsider who has the password will not connect to the computer. The same can be switched on for VPN as an option.
What if an employee has no work phone?
As an option, they can confirm sign-in with a YubiKey: the key types a one-time code, and we add it in Duo. For Remote Desktop, the key works this way, not with a simple touch.
Will Duo cover our VPN too?
Yes, as an option. A VPN needs an extra Duo Authentication Proxy server and RADIUS configuration, so it costs more to set up than Windows and RDP. We build the VPN on OpenVPN or WireGuard, depending on your company’s needs.
Who buys the Duo licences?
You buy the Duo licences yourself, and we roll out and maintain Duo, also without the IT Transformation. We agree on the scope and quote after the audit.
